Assoc. Prof. (Hon) R. Beniadi Setiawan, Ph.D., S.T., M.M., MMBA(SC), PMP(SC), CPLSC, CPGN, CPP, CPCM, CPL, CPWD, CPDM is a distinguished authority in Supply Chain Management whose career spans academia, industry, and public policy. He earned his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in 2009, followed by a Master of Management in 2011, and culminated his academic journey with a Doctor of Philosophy in Supply Chain Management from Italy in 2024. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was conferred the title of Honorary Associate Professor in Supply Chain by the PASAS Institute, Singapore (2022). His global impact has been further acknowledged through prestigious accolades, including the Outstanding Leader Award (Dubai, 2024), Best Choice in Education Award (2024), #1 Most Recommended Business & Company Award (2025), and most recently, The Most Influential Supply Chain Leader Driving Global Excellence 2025 by The Entreprize World Magazine – Americas Edition.

With more than seventeen years of professional experience, Dr. Setiawan has held pivotal roles in leading multinational and national corporations such as Schneider Electric, BP, Pertamina Hulu Energi, Santos Ltd, and Ophir Energy Ltd. His expertise encompasses demand management, strategic sourcing, procurement optimization, inventory control, logistics and warehousing, and global distribution. As a trusted consultant, he has advised SKK Migas, PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (Pelindo Group), PAM Jaya, PGN Solution, and numerous ministries and major corporations in Indonesia. At the University of Indonesia, he played a transformative role in refining the Rector’s Regulation on procurement and spearheaded the institutional restructuring of the Directorate of Procurement of Goods and Services into the Directorate of Supply Chain Management—a landmark initiative positioning UI as a pioneer among universities in adopting modern, integrated supply chain governance.

Beyond his practical achievements, Dr. Setiawan is the sole Approved Trainer of PASAS Institute Singapore in Indonesia since 2018, having trained professionals across all levels—from staff to Chief Executives, Commissioners, and business owners—through internationally accredited certification programs. He is also the founder of ORSI (www.orsi.web.id), a globally recognized institution for training, consultancy, and professional certification. To further strengthen his credentials, he has obtained multiple competency certifications from Indonesia’s National Professional Certification Board (BNSP), including qualifications as Procurement Committee, Procurement Manager, and notably as a Master Instructor, underscoring his authority in advancing national competency development. His academic contributions include eight books on business and supply chain management, among them Supply Chain Risk Management, Guidelines for Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Logistics Profession Handbook, and the Dictionary of Supply Chain Management Terms.

Currently, Dr. Setiawan serves as Chairman of the National Executive Board of the Indonesian Association of Supply Chain Experts (IARSI). He is also active as Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee for Certification Quality Assurance at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), a central board member of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), and the Indonesian Association of Training and Course Providers (HIPKI). With his unique blend of academic excellence, professional practice, policy leadership, and international recognition, Dr. Beniadi Setiawan stands as one of the most influential figures shaping resilience standards and supply chain excellence in Indonesia and across the globe.
